POF

...just wanted to put this out here (mostly for Jen)

but so far so good! :)

Internet Dating

So this morning before Georgia woke up, I created an eHarmony account on behalf of Jen; choosing all the information (i.e. rate what you think of xxx) to my best knowledge.

So far, I've gotten a handful of emails saying that people are interested; however Jen's profile is only half filled out and I have yet to add photos........also, in order for me to enjoy the site to it's fullest potential, I'd have to cough up like at least $20 a month......hopefully there's a free communication weekend soon because I'm not about to pay that type of cash for Jen (sorry Jen!).

As I am writing this, I am creating Jen a plenty of fish account (www.pof.com)
...and COMPLETE!  If you want to stalk her profile, her user name is G-N-A-U!

Why does Georgia Need An Uncle?

As my very first post to this blog; I figured I better give all the background information as to WHY I am blogging about the lack of an uncle for Georgia (my daughter)...it's actually pretty simple:

  1. Ben (my husband) is an only child;
  2. I have one sister; and
  3. Jen (my sister) always attracts the wrong type of guy.
Needs an Uncle!

Jen has had bad luck with guys ever since......well...pretty much  ever since she's ever started dating guys.  From guys addicted to various drugs to those who share apartments with their grandfather; she's always been attracted/dated guys with some sort of 'hang up'.  I told her a couple of months ago that pretty soon I was going to demand that I get a say in who she dates (kind of like a 'pre dating my sister interview').  I've come to the conclusion that if I don't intervene with Jen's dating habits, Georgia is going to be her own cousin and my sister will turn into some type of crazy old cat lady.

So why should you be interested in potentially becoming Georgia's only uncle?
  • Georgia IS pretty darn cute;
  • Ben can likely get you out of a lot of future speeding tickets; and
  • Jen's relatively normal; I was able to live with her for twenty-some-odd years and we are still really close today.
My goal is to search all venues for someone who measures up to my standards (and really, they're not very high standards)....guys must be employed in a successful career, must either live alone or with roommates (and grandfathers do not count as roommates), no addictions, no wives/girlfriends, no crazy gambling debts, must have a driver's license, loves life, dedicated, caring, funny, decent looking.........I really don't think that's too much to ask for, do you?
